BIOGRAPHY
I have been involved in the arts for most of my life I have down the years found myself chairing organisations including the now defunct Hinckley New Artist’s Society together with the admin/model procurement side of Barely Arts combined with tutoring the inexperienced who came to draw from the live model.
My experience of working is not confined to adults but also children of all ages, abilities and temperaments. I have worked with degree level students at LUSAD and with a range of students from GNVQ to Foundation level at Leicester College and my involvement with Ellesmere College has given me an insight into best practice with teenagers who have learning difficulties.
I have also organised specialist groups such as “arte del espanglish” into having international exhibitions and continue to work at my own practice, which has taken my images to Sweden and Spain as well as the UK.
My great joy is to engage the minds/imaginations of people thus inspiring them to improve their lives and environments, helping them to see that there is nothing they cannot do if they just want to do it badly enough. .
I am now a qualified YOUTH ARTS AWARD ADVISORand can deliver the award at either bronze or silver levels, and a director of KNIGHTON LANE ARTISTS LTD, . I trade as ART-CELL in my capacity of Creative Practitioner in schools etc..
